About SC/ST Cell

The SC/ST cell at Anna University was formed under UGC guidance in 1988. It is meant to implement, monitor, and assess the reservation policy in University departments, constituent colleges and affiliated colleges with respect to student admission and recruitment. In addition, resolving the grievances of its teaching faculty and non-teaching staff members is also a crucial component. The Cell has the responsibility to analyse data to show trends and changes and to take follow-up measures for its effective implementation in order to achieve the Government of India and UGC's goals.
